Born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His love for Japanese culture led him to Osaka, Japan, in 2008 where he studied Japanese Language and Literature. After obtaining his Master of Engineering in Tokyo few years later, he worked for 3 years in Japanese companies specialized in offering Consulting Events as well as Travel and Real Estate services in the GCC countries. He moved back to Riyadh in 2018 to support his family business as a Production and Business Development Manager, with tasks ranging from overseeing daily operations to managing employees, ensuring order deadlines are met and finding ways to increase efficiency to maximize profits and future growth. Drawing on his extensive experience, he built Miraigates in 2023, aiming to create many gates between Saudi, Japan and more countries

MASUMI TOMIOKA
Born in Tokyo, Japan. Always assiduous, she could already maintain a perfect work-study-life balance in college when she took up the challenge to have a full time job as a Head Bartender in a restaurant while studying. After graduation, she accumulated experience in various international fine dining restaurants in Tokyo. She then moved to Hong Kong in 2017 to work at the famous Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Duddell’s as Bar Manager. In 2021, she moved to Riyadh to start a new position at the Japanese Restaurant as Restaurant Manager; discovering Saudi culture for the first time. After 19 years working in the Food and Beverage Industry, she became co-founder of Miraigates to pursue her dream of developing new ties between Saudi Arabia, Japan and more.

FAIZA TERUNUMA
Born in Ibaraki, Japan. Curious of her Syrian and Japanese origins, she studied Arabic at the Language Department of Damascus University, Syria. Living in Japan, she gained experience in both the private and public sectors in diverse fields. Always fond of helping non-Japanese speakers living in Japan, she decided to complete an advanced course in teaching Japanese, and acquired more experience teaching at a language school. In 2021, she moved to Riyadh and took part in several activities such as helping open a Japanese matcha cafe and assisting in Japanese events. Today, she wants to use her past experiences and skills to help shape Miraigates’ goal to connect countries on the solid ground of trust.
